Update: April 7, 2020
We are pleased to let you know that Governor Michael L. Parson has finally responded to the legal community’s request to relax the personal appearance requirement for notarizing documents. Executive Order 20-08, which was issued on April 6, 2020, specifically allows us to notarize and witness the signing of documents using audio video technology. The Governor’s order means that you will be able to execute your will, trust, powers of attorney and other estate planning documents from the convenience of your own home while we witness it via live video. All you need are an email address and a computer or mobile device with a microphone and video capabilities and we can continue to assist you with your estate planning, estate administration and/or your business needs while you shelter in place. Please note that although the Secretary of State’s office is still working out the specific details, you can contact our office today to set up a video conference to discuss your legal needs.
